Work began on 19 September to upgrade the existing facilities at the Lufwanyama school, as well as erect a brand-new computer lab to bring pupils into the digital age. The school expects to be able to increase its enrolment by almost half once the project – funded by a generous donation to the Gemfields Foundation from Assore International Holdings and Kagem – is complete early next year.
