MRM awarded for Good Health and Safety Practices at Work

MRM came second place in the Large Companies category for the mining sector, and the prize reflects the efforts that MRM has undertaken in this area. The event itself, the Good Occupational Health and Safety Practices, took place on a national level for the first time this year, having previously been held provincially. The award ceremony was attended by the Prime Minister, Carlos Agostinho do Rosário, who used the occasion to encourage companies to continue prioritising good practices in health and safety at work. At the event, 18 companies were distinguished, among them large, small and medium-sized ones, from a total of 48 competitors. For Raime Pachinuapa, MRM's Corporate Affairs Manager, the distinction is "a result of the great work that is being done. It reflects a commitment by both management and workers, as a whole. Our motto is 'zero harm', for both employees and the environment, and every care is taken to uphold this."
