It’s safe to say this year was a busy one! As 2021 draws to a close, we look back at some of the biggest moments of the year for Gemfields.
The Gemfields Foundation, the charitable arm of Gemfields, was launched.
On World Water Day, our collaboration with Sandy Leong was announced: The Sandy Leong x Gemfields Sol Collection, with 10 per cent of all sales donated to the Gemfields Foundation.
The launch of Sapphire marked the completion of the ‘Big Three’ trilogy of books. We partnered with Jewel of Africa to create 100 pendants which feature the ‘Big Three’ coloured gemstones – a Zambian emerald, a Mozambican ruby and a blue sapphire.
We partnered with KOL @yan.janice.s and explored “how to style” jewellery pieces featuring Gemfields Zambian emeralds and Mozambican rubies.
We promoted the largest collection of Zambian emerald jewellery ever to be offered at auction (which comprised a total of 993 carats!), hosted by Phillips, who have pledged a generous donation from the sales to the Gemfields Foundation.
‘The Chipembele Crash’ NFT series was created to celebrate the recent discovery of Chipembele – a 7,525 carat Gemfields emerald.
Fabergé and Game of Thrones launched an Egg objet to celebrate the long-running success of the series. The Fabergé x Game of Thrones Egg features a beautiful Gemfields Mozambican ruby.
