Francis de Lara x Gemfields Ruby Teardrop Eyewear, featuring a Gemfields Mozambican Ruby

The ‘Ruby Teardrop’ is based on the undulations of a Renaissance frame, with a ‘blood’ ruby teardrop. This pair is of gold-plated sterling silver, with yellow 24kt gold cabochons, one pear-cut ruby, and seven oval-cut amethysts encrusting the side-temples. As these pieces are handmade and Francis de Lara pieces are made to look like well preserved artefacts rather than brand new pieces, slight ‘imperfections’ are actually part of the personality of the piece: scratches, matte and discolouration areas, and inclusions in some stones.
