MRM supports local farmers

MRM has provided funding for the distribution of agricultural inputs and the allocation of materials to build poultry houses to support local 2025/2026 agricultural campaigns.

This initiative benefits a total of 802 farmers (individuals and in associations) with nine communities benefitting from inputs and five of these communities also receiving construction materials for poultry farming.

MRM distributed inputs: 8,200 kg of maize, 4,495 kg of peanuts, 4,095 kg of nhemba beans and 819 kg of sesame, 585 bags of fertiliser (NPK), 833 litres of insecticide, in addition to providing technical support, and spent a total of 3,150,600 meticais (including VAT) for construction materials, such as zinc sheets, cement, beams and assorted accessories for the expansion of small-scale poultry farms.
