Gemfields coloured gemstones feature in Fabergé x Beetlejuice Beetlejuice® fine jewellery collection

Emeralds from the Kagem mine in Zambia and rubies from Montepuez in Mozambique dazzle in the collaboration between Fabergé and Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products to mark the release of the long-awaited sequel to the award-winning film “Beetlejuice” (1988).

Fabergé, the iconic artist-jeweller and part of the Gemfields Group, has collaborated closely with singular creative visionary Tim Burton and Oscar-winning costume designer Colleen Atwood, to bring to life the eccentric universe of this jewellery collection, which marries the captivating worlds of Fabergé and Beetlejuice.

The collection comprises 18k white gold earrings, pendants, lapel pins, collar bars and rings – all inspired by the spiral motif prevalent in Tim Burton’s iconic films and by the Beetlejuice characters, the Headworm and Sandworm. In eerie Beetlejuice style, there are Spiral Wrap Rings, Spiral Collar Bars and Twisted Headworm Collar Bars, among others.

At the heart of each piece is a Zambian emerald or a Mozambican ruby, responsibly mined by Gemfields and surrounded by white diamonds. True to Fabergé’s trademark style, each piece is enamelled in black, red or green, a colour palette chosen to reflect the film’s costumes. Fabergé’s iconic Egg motif makes an appearance, with the White Gold Spiral Egg Drop Earrings and Pendants, available with either a Mozambican ruby or Zambian emerald.

Fabergé’s head of design, Liisa Tallgren, explains the inspiration behind the designs: “The green glow of the afterlife is reflected in the emeralds and the red rubies are reminiscent of the red wedding dress and suit… The world of Beetlejuice has mysterious black and white striped Sandworms with red eyes and green lips, again reflected with use of rubies and emeralds, which have also inspired the spiralling snake rings.”

Limited quantities available from 20 August, followed by pre-orders, ahead of the film’s launch in early September.
