Emeralds and rubies add sparkle to Awards Season
Glamour was front and centre at these gala events in Los Angeles and London, which celebrated the entertainment industry’s finest. Stunning couture confections were accessorised with the finest jewels from the likes of Bvlgari, Cartier, Lorraine Schwartz, Tiffany & Co. and Elsa Jin.
Kicking off the red carpet season at the Golden Globes, Salma Hayek was resplendent in a stunning emerald necklace, courtesy of Lorraine Schwartz.
Upping the ante amongst the gentlemen in the room was Adrien Brody who adorned his lapel with a Mozi brooch by Elsa Jin, featuring black and grey diamonds, emeralds and a Tahitian peacock green-black pearl. Sapphire made an appearance with Kate Hudson bedecked in a Bvlgari high jewelry necklace in platinum featuring a pear-shaped sapphire and 161 fancy cut diamonds paired with diamond earrings.
As music took centre stage at the 2025 Grammy Awards, Taylor Swift gave a masterclass in How to Style coloured gems with a ruby-laden appearance. Breaking the traditional rule of contrasting jewellery with apparel, Taylor instead introduced red carpet tonal dressing – matching her jewels with her Vivienne Westwood ensemble. Her suite of ruby jewels by Lorraine Schwartz was also teamed with an unconventional, custom, gem-adorned chain, with a ‘T’ charm.
The Baftas saw Anna Kendrick opting for a suite of Bvlgari emerald jewels and, rather fittingly, Wicked’s Cynthia Erivo rocked a selection of vintage Tiffany & Co. emerald jewels. Also spotted at the Baftas was Marisa Abela donning a Cartier ruby necklace.
To close awards season, Zoe Sadana wore a spectacular Cartier masterpiece at the Oscars, featuring a breathtaking 10.10 ct sugarloaf Zambian emerald!
